History of OUNRA

Canada’s Oldest Incorporated Neighbourhood Association

The Old University Neighbourhood Residents’ Association was established in 1982 and is the oldest incorporated neighbourhood association in Canada.

Our boundaries are from the Speed River to the north, to College Avenue to the south, to Cutten Fields on the east and Edinburgh Road to the west, including all of the streets off Edinburgh to the west. The lands and dwellings within these boundaries comprise the Old University Neighbourhood.

OUNRA is active in addressing local issues that affect the Old University Neighbourhood, providing a framework for dealing with change in hopes of enhancing the quality, safety, and stability of the community.
